Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain Defence Force Commander Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa severely attacked Qatar and Iran during a press meeting with Al-Ayam newspaper.

He said that Iran "mobilized its powers to target the kingdom's security and stability, being backed by its intelligence apparatus, and with the help of terrorist groups, allies to the sect. It also made use of the ideological identity, militia mechanisms and proxy wars."

As for Qatar, the marshal said that the Qataris have become "the biggest victim of this opportunist regime and the tool to support terrorism and chaos," adding that "the Qatari regime will pay for that at the expense of its people and land." He went on to say: "Look around you! What did the Qatari regime do in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and other Arab states, where bloods were shed and Arab capabilities were destroyed? Who will benefit from all of this? Until when this stupidity will continue? Alas, there are foreign countries backing them."

The Marshal further stated that "the Qatari regime is paying today for the crimes it had committed. There are people in Syria, Egypt, Libya and Tunisian who want to take their rights from Qatar now."

He also said that the "Qatari regime didn't stop its evilness against us. Bahrain has suffered over years from the Qatari regime crimes and we are still suffering from its crimes. The Qatari regime started to execute the agenda of the terrorist organizations that plot against Bahrain. They stole our land by trespassing parts of the islands and pearl fisheries that belong to the Kingdom, according to the International conventions and agreements as well as British documents."

The Marshal didn't tackle an important point regarding what was said about his assassination attempt. He only stressed on the integrity of the military judiciary. He pointed out this case saying "this terrorist case confirms that Bahrain is still being targeted by terrorist organizations that receive support and funding from neighboring states that seek to launch terrorist strikes to claim that its security is not stable. Thank God, Bahrain enjoys military readiness to combat terrorism, as it was able to foil a number of conspiracies and dismantle terrorist cells. Military jurisdiction in BDF was held responsible of combating terrorism in Bahrain."
