Labor Ministry Rejects 200 Requests for Fundraising between March 2015 and November 2017

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Labor Jameel Humaidan said that license requests for fundraising for societies and charities amounted to a total of 623 in the period from March 2015 to November 30, 2017. The total number of approved requests was 389, while 200 applications were rejected.
He added in his response to a parliamentary question that after the promulgation of Legislative Decree No. 12/2013 and its Executive Regulation No. 47/2014, the Department concerned with these applications in the Ministry has monitored some complaints submitted by a number of civil societies.
