Bahraini Military Appeal Court to Look into Execution of Six Bahrainis, Announces Nabeel Rajab’s Sentence

Bahrain Mirror: A military court of appeal on Wednesday (February 21, 2018) is due to announce its verdict on the execution of six Bahrainis convicted in a speedy trial, over charges of plotting to assassinate Commander-in-Chief Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
The defendants, who were not allowed to meet any attorneys for a whole year while they were held in custody, denied the charges raised against them and said they were tortured for months on end until they were coerced to make incriminating confessions in court.
Reports say that the criminal court today issued its verdict in prominent human rights activist Nabeel Rajab's case sentencing him to five years in prison over tweets.
