Bahrain Mirror: Information stated that the authorities arrested media men Mohammad Al-Shorouqi and Abdullah Al-Maloud after accusing them of "defaming people via social media outlets".
Lawyer Abdullah Hashem said that "preliminary news revealed the arrest of 3 people leading defaming gang on Twitter".
Information also revealed that the said account may be the account of MP who leaked the conversations that infuriated the royal court and its MPs.
MP Khalid Al-Shaer said that accusing one of his office members of managing a fake and anonymous account of unknown source is incorrect, adding that "I deem it a weak pressure tool from weak individuals and other fake accounts that mentioned his name for psychological pressure."
Al-Shaer linked these measures to his chairing of a committee to investigate the ownership of Council of Ministers Assistant Undersecretary Ibrahim Al-Dosari of a land in Riffa allocated for building a school.
The decision to form a committee came after leaked conversations between Al-Dosari and MP Anas Buhendi, in which they attacked Minister of the Royal Court for Follow up Affairs Ahmed bin Ateyatalla Al Khalifa without naming him and disclosed ethical scandals related to MPs, including Ahmad Mulla and Khalid Al-Saher.
PM Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa expressed his disappointment from cyber crime directorate in the Interior Ministry and accused it of spreading sedition among people.
