100 BD Bail Set to Stop Execution of Sentence against Media Figure Mohammad Al-Shorouqi

Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court sentenced on Wednesday (February 28, 2018) media figure Mohammad Al-Shorouqi to 3 months in jail and set 100 BD as bail to stop the execution of sentence, after he was accused of insulting former Muslim Brotherhood MP Mohammad Khalid.
Khalid filed a lawsuit against Al-Shorouqi over charge of insulting him through his Twitter account.
The authorities arrested Mohammad Al-Shorouqi days before, over charge of defaming people via Twitter. It is believed that Al-Shorouqi, along with two others, are responsible of managing the account called "Na'eb Ta'eb" that leaked conversations between Council of Ministers Assistant Undersecretary Ibrahim Al-Dosari and MP Anas Buhendi.
