After its Involvement in Torturing Activists, NIHR Introduces NSA Members to Convention against Torture

Bahrain Mirror: The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) said that it held a workshop for members of the National Security Agency about torture.
Since King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa returned arrest authority to the National Security Agency, it involved in torturing dozens of human rights activists in its building in Muharraq.
The institution said that the workshop tackled a number of themes, the most prominent of which were: Torture between the international vision and position of the Bahraini legislature, the International Convention Against Torture, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights' position towards torture.
