Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini House of Representatives approved in its session yesterday amending some provisions of the code of civil and commercial procedure, and decided to refer the matter to the Shura Council. The amendment aims at developing case management office to which cases are transferred before referring them to the competent court. It provides for early management of lawsuits by placing them under the supervision of the case management office which will be specialized in preparing them to enable judges to focus on the subjective side of lawsuits, i.e. by applying legal text on pleadings without dealing with the procedural or administrative work, which would help in shortening the duration.
During the session, Justice Minister Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa said that the case management office will work with experts, judges and professionals who look into the case and complete its procedures and documents to be presented to the judge as well as facilitate the judicial procedures and dispute resolution to achieve speedy justice.
