Bahrain Mirror: The National Institution for Human Rights said that it contacted ÝÇË competent parties in the Interior Ministry about what was circulated on different media outlets regarding the health condition of detainee Hajar Mansour (mother-in-law of human rights activist Ahmad Al-Wadaie), adding that "the condition of a Bahraini detainee Hajar Mansour is stable and normal".
It added in a statement on Friday (March 23, 2018) that "the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee at the National Institution for Human Rights hasn't received any complaint or help request from Hajar Mansour or from anyone representing her until now."
It is to mention that the NIHR is formed under a royal decree. International Human Right organizations doubt its independency and consider it an institution that aims at whitewashing Bahrain's reputation with regards to human rights file.
