Shura Council Refuses to Ban Photographing of Traffic Accidents

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee of the Shura Council agreed with the House of Representatives on the rejection of the amendment of the Traffic Law, which prohibits the recording of any traffic accident and publishing it vian any online or other means, excluding the driver of the vehicle in the accident as well as its passengers and the media authorized to cover the incident.
The Committee considered that the aim of the draft law on traffic accidents, regarding the exposure of individuals' personal lives and the negative consequences of their rapid circulation appears to take place in all types of accidents, such as fire incidents and the destruction of buildings as well.
