Bahrain Mirror:  The Fourth High Criminal Court issued 7-year jail term against 8 suspects accused of setting security patrol to fire in A'ali. It also sentenced a suspect to 3 years in jail because he is under 18 years old, bound the suspects to pay 14077 BD for the damages caused to the ministry of interior's car and ordered the confiscation of  seized items.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of setting fire, in January, to a car owned by the interior minister for a terrorism aim, taking part in an assembly of more than 5 persons in a public place, aiming at committing crimes and disrupting public peace, noting that they used violence to achieve the aim they gathered for.

The prosecution also accused them of acquiring Molotov manufactured by the second suspect, with the aim of putting people's lives and public and private money to danger.

Since 2012, riot cases that go under the demonstrations and riot section of the penal code were adapted to apply to the terrorism law, if there were "terrorist" purposes behind them, such as attempted murder of a police officer, violating the provisions of law and endangering the lives of people and their properties, within the regime's framework of harshening penalties against protesters and activists.
