Bahrain Mirror: Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa gave directives to continue the exploration and excavation works and to expedite the completion of the technical studies and the economic feasibility of the extractable quantities to start the production process from the new oilfield that Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa announced its discovery 2 days ago.

The PM also ordered offering the exploration area for investment by international companies to increase the Kingdom's oil and gas production and boost revenues.

An official statement said that Oil Minister Mohammed Al Khalifa made a presentation to the council in which he highlighted the exploration projects in the oil reservoirs and deep gas areas and their land and sea layers.

The Prime Minister received a sample from the new oilfield that the oil Minister said it will start production within 5 years.
