Court Upholds 1-Year Jail Term against Former Minister over Issuing Cheque without Balance

Bahrain Mirror: The Second High Criminal Court upheld one-year jail term against a former minister over charge of issuing a cheque of value of 15 thousand BD without balance to the Ministry of justice, in return of execution file worth of 229 thousand BD.
The minister didn't attend the appeals session due to a health condition, his lawyer confirmed.
