Bahrain Takes Precautions to Combat Scabies after Outbreak in Saudi Arabia

Bahrain Mirror: The Ministry of Health confirmed that it is attentively and carefully working on monitoring the health situation in Bahrain after the scabies outbreak in the region, i.e. by following reports on a group of infectious diseases to the Department of Public Health filed by all health institutions or schools in cooperation with the concerned education ministry parties.
According to the Ministry of Health, there has been no increase in the number of cases registered having the disease compared to the same period in recent years, and no epidemiological cases were reported in public and private schools.
The Ministry said it has taken precautions for scabies. A joint team has been formed with the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities to monitor and take necessary measures to prevent the outbreak of the disease. It was also assured that necessary treatment is available in health centers and health awareness and communication with the GCC countries in this regard is taking place.
