Bahrain Mirror: Israel's Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said in statements on Thursday that if it were to attack Tel Aviv, Israel would retaliate with an attack against Tehran.
Liberman's remarks were an unusual Israeli threat to resort to military action on Iranian territory. These statements come after escalation of first of their kind confrontations between the two forces in the Syrian civil war.
Liberman said in statements to Saudi Arabia's Elaph news outlet: "Israel doesn't want war...but if Iran attacks Tel Aviv, we will hit Tehran".
"Every outpost in which we see Iran positioning militarily in Syria, we will destroy, and we will not allow this no matter what the price," he added.
