2018-04-28 - 2:02 am

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Commerce has closed down seven shops that were opened in a number of houses in compound 1214 in Hamad City and doing business without having commercial registration or government licenses. Their owners have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

The Ministry said that the inspection and guidance team seized two commercial shops violating the law and summons were issued for the owners in preparation for taking the necessary measures to refer them to the Public Prosecution in case of failure to correct the violations.

The Ministry said most of the services carried out by the shops were either the sale of food and beverages, followed by ironing and laundry services, the sale of stationery and school services for students.

The inspection and commercial guidance team launched an urgent surprise search campaign yesterday morning to implement the administrative closure decisions on the said shops, based on a complaint received by the Ministry from citizen (W.T.) through the Contact System, noting that the search campaigns are ongoing and the team is taking administrative closure procedures against a number of shops in violation in different parts of the country.
