Bahrain: Rental Prices Expected to Increase by 20% with VAT Implementation

Bahrain Mirror: Akhbar Al-Khaleej daily said that it anticipates an increase in the rental prices and housing units by 20% once the VAT is implemented.
The VAT is an amount of money implemented as a tax on total of local purchase and local activity by 5%.
According to the newspaper, the rental prices are expected to increase and the price of real estates housing is to get affected due to price increase of building and finishing materials that are included in the tax.
