Bahrain Mirror: National Security Agency professional standards office, which is involved in torture, said that the training plan for 2018 in cooperation with the Office of the Inspector General, included courses in US in the fields of human rights and freedoms.
Inspector Mohammed Rashid Al-Rumaihi said that the training plan was conclusive in all human rights aspects and that it was held with the assistance of relevant parties like ministry of interior and National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), noting that the most of the plan relied on the NIHR mechanisms and Convention against Torture and the optional protocol to CAT and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
The authorities have conducted human rights courses for NSA personnel since the issuance of several human rights reports about torture of activists and dissidents in NSA chambers, however, they didn't investigate any of the suspects or refer them to trial.
