Bahrain Mirror: The Labor Court bound a foreign company working in transformative industries to pay more than 29 thousand BD for a sales supervisor who spent 14 years in the company and was arbitrary dismissed in June 2015. The employee used to get a 1000 BD monthly salary since 2004.
After this arbitrary dismissal, the sales supervisor brought a lawsuit against the company demanding it to pay him his late fees for the period from 1/4/2015 to 17/6/2015 and allowance for the his annual leave from 2013 till 2015, compensate him for the arbitrary dismissal and to give him his severance pay.
The court said that the plaintiff worked at the company as a sales supervisor for 1000 BD salary. The plaintiff had presented the notice he received in 17/6/2015 about his dismissal. The court bound the company to pay the employee 12000 BD considering that his service duration is 14 years, 2 month and 25 days after the notice that requires paying 12 months as maximum compensation.
