Suspect Receives 3-Year Jail Term over Manufacturing Fake Bomb in Jid Ali

Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court issued a 3-year jail term against a Bahraini accused of manufacturing a fake bomb with the help of his juvenile brother and putting it on public street in Jid Ali, and ordered the confiscation of the seized fake body.
The authorities claim that the suspect manufactured, with the help of his juvenile brother, a fake bomb. The suspect headed to street 77 in Jid Ali and put the body. A notice was received at about 4:30 AM on 22/5/2016 by the capital governorate police station stating that there is a strange body on the street. The SWAT team headed to the place and dealt with the body that was recognized as a fake bomb. The investigations led the police to the suspect who is serving the same prison term as his brother.
The suspect confessed in the Public Prosecution investigations that he committed the crime, with an aim to make the police think that the body is a real bomb. The prosecution accused the suspect of putting, on 22/5/2016, along with other unknowns, hoax bomb on the public street, for a terrorist aim.
