Emergency Plan Set for Treating Injured Bahrainis in Bus Accident in Saudi Arabia

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Health Undersecretary Walid Al-Mane' said that the Ministry has launched an urgent emergency plan after the bus accident that took place in Saudi Arabia with 46 passengers on board, to provide support and treatment to all the injured and to ensure access to all health services from diagnosis and treatment, leading to coordination with the relevant authorities to provide the best health care, until they reach home safely.
He added that all the facilities of the Ministry of Health have been prepared to receive the patients and complete their necessary treatment. The serious injuries team prepared themselves to receive cases that require completion of any type of treatment. The team includes physicians of various specialties such as surgery, emergency, abdominal and nerve surgery.
On the other hand, Dr. Nabil Al-Ashiri, Chairman of the Committee for treatment for accidents and emergencies abroad at Salmaniya Medical Complex, revealed that the number of patients undergoing treatment and medical monitoring in the hospital are only five, indicating the arrival of a batch of patients.
Nine of the patients are scheduled to return to the country today, accompanied by a Bahraini medical delegation who headed there to monitor their medical conditions. Thus, all the injured have would have returned to Bahrain.
Meanwhile, yesterday morning dozens held a funeral procession for one of the casualties of the accident Zeinab Al-Samahiji, who was later buried in the Karzakan cemetery. Also, Bahraini Jaber Ahmed, who was also killed in a painful accident with his wife in Mecca, was buried at the Shara'e cemetery in Mecca.
