Government Payments via eProtals Increased BD 50 Million Compared to 2017

Bahrain Mirror: Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) said that its epayment amount exceeded BD 50 million in the period from January until June 2018, versus the same period in 2017. This means an increase of 74 %.
The payments were paid through more than 600 thousand transactions made through National Portal Bahrain.bh, eKiosks and smartphones applications.
According to statistics, the eGovDirectory app which provides the contacts data for the officials of the governmental entities, registered an increase in its usage by three times. This increase is due to providing the contact information of the Kingdom's official's offices via the app.
In addition, the usage of "Tawasul" application increased by more than 80 per cent during the same period. While the application "Wejhati" provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs increased in use by 60 per cent thanks to the Ministry and the Authority's awareness efforts to make use of it, especially in the annual travel seasons.
