2,173 Bahrainis Applied for Place on Bahrain Space Team- Statement

Bahrain Mirror: The National Space Science Agency (NSSA) announced that applications for a place on the Bahrain Space Team reached more than 2,173 applicants.
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had issued a decree regarding the establishment of the commission, for the sake of the development of the country's space science and technology sector.
Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed said that the focus at this stage is to build national capacities to create a base from which the sector moves forward towards future achievements.
An official statement said that the 10 highly skilled Bahrainis who are chosen will be responsible for implementing a variety of space-related projects upon completion of an intensive 24-months long training program conducted both in Bahrain and abroad.
