Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed that his meeting with his Syrian counterpart Walid Al-Muallem wasn't previously arranged, stressing that the Syrian government is the Government of Syria.

The foreign minister said that the meeting "came at a time when the world is witnessing positive transformations leading to an effective Arab role in settling the Syrian issue," adding that "it is not the first of its kind meeting since the onset of the Syrian crisis".

"The Syrian government is the Government of Syria, and we are working even with the countries that we disagree with. We do not work with those who try to topple these countries," he said. "We are seeking to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people," he highlighted.

The minister also stated that Bahrain supports that the government extends its sovereignty over all Syrian territories and then afterwards look into how to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people.
