Bahrain Mirror: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) warned of scammers claiming to be employees in the TRA requesting personal information. 

The authority indicated in a statement that scammers from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain may be approaching a number of subscribers mobile calls claiming to be employees in the TRA requesting personal information. 

It advised all consumers to refrain from engaging with these scammers and report all suspicious communication immediately to The Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Anti-Corruption & Economic & Electronic Security. TRA also advised consumers to block these numbers to limit further communication.

The TRA also advised consumers to verify any information, promotional offers and advertisements received either through phone or text messages from unknown sources and report this to their telecommunications service provider to provide them with the necessary procedures to opt out from receiving such communications.
