MoI Warns Citizens of “Ebshir” Application, Says It Steals Data and Hacks Electronic Devices

Bahrain Mirror: The Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security warned people to be aware of emails that asked them to register in an application with the name "Ebshir".
The warning was issued after reports about it on social media and the monitoring of such attempts.
He said the recipients of such emails should ignore the instructions mentioned in them and delete them, confirming that the Interior Ministry did provide such services and those emails were attempts to steal data and hack the phone or the computer.
The director urged, in a statement published by the Interior Ministry, people to carefully check the email address of the sender and verify the mentioned information before following the instructions.
