2018-10-23 - 5:39 p
Bahrain Mirror: Director of Traffic Operations and Control Adel Al-Dossairi said that his department dealt with 140 rain-related cases, including 67 accidents, on Saturday.
He said the rate was high compared with the daily average of accidents due to the heavy rain and because some drivers and road-users were not cautious enough to deal with the situation.
He also said that eight traffic signals developed technical faults because of the rain and traffic patrols had to be deployed to the scenes until they were fixed by the Ministry of Works in cooperation with the police directorates in the governorates, the Rescue (Najda) Police and the Community Police.
