Bahrain Mirror: The Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for the Environment, Mohammad bin Daynah, said that the sixth line of Alba's plant will be operational by the end of 2018.
In an interview with the Saudi Al Arabiya channel, on the sidelines of the Future Investment Conference held in Riyadh, he added that the sixth line of Alba's project and the expansion of the Bapco refinery, wholly owned by the Bahraini government, will contribute to reducing harmful emissions.
"The Alba project has a great impact on reducing the amount of harmful emissions, as the first and second lines were closed down and now the focus is on lines 3 to 6," he said.
He further pointed out that they are working in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil on expanding the Bapco refinery, noting that completing the work on the refinery requires a period ranging between 3 and 4 years.
