Bahrain Mirror: The High Appeals Court upheld death sentence against a suspect, life sentence against 13 others, 15-year jail term against 8 suspects, 5-year jail term against 2 defendants, 3-year jail term against 2 defendants and revoked the citizenship of 25 defendants in a politically-motivated case.
The authorities claim that the suspects caused a blast in Abu Saiba, which led to death of security man and injury of others.
The appeals court depended in its verdicts on investigations of security forces affiliated with the ministry of interior, the officer who carried out investigations (an officer in the Ministry of Interior) and confessions of defendants that were extracted under torture and duress.
