Bahraini King Ratifies Law Giving Priority to Recruiting Bahrainis in Private Health Establishments

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Law 1/2019 amending Article 14 of Law Decree 21/2015 regarding private health establishments.
Article A/14 of Law Decree 21/2015 regarding private health establishments has been amended, adding the following: Article 14/A Paragraph 2: Priority must be given in a private health establishment to recruitment of Bahraini physicians, technicians and nursing staff who are in possession of the requisite qualification and experience, with the exception of positions that require unavailable rare specialized expertise.
The private health establishment must adjust its conditions in compliance with the provisions of this Law after expiration of contracts signed with non-Bahraini physicians, technicians and nursing staff.
This Law becomes effective starting from the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
