Bahrain Mirror: 5 years after being convicted of assembling and burning tires on public street in Al-Juffair in 2014 and after being sentenced to 3 years in jail. The defendant appealed the verdict but he wasn't informed about the hearings and didn't attend them, thus the verdict was voided. Therefore, the high appeal criminal court abolished the ruling and decided to refer the case back to the original court to re-issue the verdict.

The authorities claim that the first suspect in the case admitted that he took part along with the second suspect "the appellant". He also said that he received a message to assemble, in order to start the process and close Al-Jaffair entrance, thus, he headed to the scene and saw a group of masked citizens. He could identify the second suspect.

The Public Prosecution referred the suspects to trial after accusing them of deliberately setting fire, along with other unknowns, on 24/2/2014, to the movables mentioned in the documents, noting that the fire would put people's lives and money to danger. It also accused them of taking part, along with other unknowns, in an assembly of more than 5 persons, aiming at disrupting public peace, as well as acquiring Molotov.
