Appeals: 7-Year Jail Term handed down to Defendant Accused of Burning Police Armored Vehicle in Al-Ekr

Bahrain Mirror: The Fifth High Appeals Criminal Court commuted a 10-year jail verdict issued against an appellant out of 7 defendants, in case of burning police armored vehicle in Al-Ekr, to 7 years only.
The authorities accuse the suspect and 6 others, whose ages range between 17 and 25 years, of assembling on November 3, 2015 and burning an armored vehicle owned by the interior ministry in Al-Ekr.
The first instance court handed down 10-year jail term to the appellant and 5 others and 3-year jail term to the seventh and bound them to pay together more than 3700 BD for the damages caused to the security vehicle.
