Bahrain Mirror: The US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Justin Siberell, confirmed that some US importers of aluminum products have received tariff exemptions in a number of cases.
The Ambassador, speaking to a local newspaper, said other cases were "still pending."
US President Donald Trump has made a decision to impose a 25 percent tariff on steel imports and a 10 percent tariff on aluminum imports.
"I know that many in Bahrain are concerned about the US tariff on Bahraini aluminum," the ambassador said, adding that the Bahraini Government is working with the US Trade Representative and the US Department of Commerce to receive appropriate exemptions from tariffs.
