Ministry of Transportation Revenues Reached BD 50 Million, Half of Revenues from Passengers’ Fees

Bahrain Mirror: MP Ahmed Al-Sallom revealed that the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications' revenues reach 50 million Dinar for every fiscal year, 50% of them are obtained from passengers' fees.
He quoted the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Kamal Ahmed as saying that the ministry has commissioned a consultancy firm to study the construction of Bahrain Metro project within 18 months to determine the cost of the project, which will be funded in partnership with the private sector.
According to the minister, 10% of the kingdom's population uses the public transportation, while 90% rely on their own cars.
