Bahrain Mirror: The High Cassation Court upheld on (April 8, 2019) life sentences against 2 defendants and 15-year jail term against the third over the "Imam army" case.
The high criminal court issued on November 3, 2013 life sentences against 4 suspects, 15-year jail term against 6 and acquitted 14.
The high appeals court accepted, on May 28, 2014, the appeals of two suspects in form and upheld the appealed verdict. The suspect then challenged the ruling in the cassation court which returned the case to the high appeals court.
The Public Prosecution brought politically motivated cases against the suspects and claimed that they established a group to attack the police. It also claimed that the group colluded with the Iran's Revolutionary Guard.
