Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society condemned the executions carried out by the Saudi authorities and considered them "a crime represented a major earthquake in the entire region."
Al-Wefaq said in a statement on Thursday (April 25, 2019) "executions over thought, belief, political opinion and legitimate demands are extremely dangerous and unrighteous," indicating that "there is no religious or legal justification for this, which was confirmed by international organizations, the most prominent of which are the United Nations and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights."
Al-Wefaq declared its unequivocal rejection of the executions and considered that the crime represented a major earthquake in the entire region.
It stressed that the blood of innocent people is not cheap and no drop of it should be shed.
The society said that using political executions does not establish justice or stability, build countries, or express openness or moving towards building a state capable of containing and facing challenges.
Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society expressed its sincere condolences to the dear people of the Eastern Province, Medina and all the regions of the Kingdom and declared full solidarity with all the families whose loved ones were martyred for reasons related to their views, beliefs or political stance.
