French President Calls on Bahraini King to Conduct Comprehensive Political Dialogue, Guarantee HR in Country

Bahrain Mirror: French President Emmanuel Macron called on King of Bahrain Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa to conduct a comprehensive political dialogue and guarantee human rights in the country.
In a statement issued by Elysee presidential palace on April 29, 2019, the French President stressed the importance of partnership with Bahrain, due to the kingdom's strategic position in the Middle East and the challenges that arise in its regional environment.
The president encouraged the Bahraini authorities to continue their efforts to conduct a comprehensive political dialogue that comprises all components of Bahraini society and stressed that guaranteeing human rights is inseparable from stability.
The statement said that the meeting was an opportunity to address regional issues, especially Syria, Iran and the Gulf states.
Macron reiterated France's commitment to supporting Bahrain in its ambitious strategy of economic diversification, noting the excellence of French companies and their expertise in the sectors of transportation, energy and urban development.
The French president praised the Bahraini authorities' willingness to develop French language education and to make France a leading cultural partner, especially through an agreement with the Louvre museum or the French Fashion Institute.
