Yasser Shaheen Appointed as NIHR Secretary General

Bahrain Mirror: National Institute for Human Rights' (NIHR) Council of Commissioners has appointed Yasser Shaheen as secretary general. This was announced during the council's meeting chaired by Maria Khoury.
A statement said that the council approved the appointment of Yasser Ghanem Shaheen as general secretary of NIHR, who has joined it since its establishment; i.e. nearly 10 years ago, as a director of legal Affairs and then deputy Secretary General.
Shaheen worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the Permanent Mission of Bahrain at the United Nations Office in Geneva since 2006. He was also an employee in Bahrain Embassy in Washington.
