NIHR Visits Jaw Central Prison

Bahrain Mirror: The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), a governmental institution, said that it visited Jaw Central Prison to "monitor the human rights situations".
It explained in a statement that it met some of the prisoners to consider their living conditions.
Violations in prisons didn't stop despite the work of NIHR and Special Investigation Unit affiliated with the Interior Ministry. A couple of months ago, the prosecution referred 12 soldiers, including two officers, to trial over charge of beating prisoners in Jaw Prison.
