Bahrainis in Cleaning Company Haven't Received Salaries since 4 Months: Newspaper

Bahrain Mirror: The local Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper said that Bahraini employees in a local cleaning company complained that they haven't been paid since last March (4 months), claiming that the employer doesn't have budget.
Employees working as cleaners said they receive one salary every three months, noting that they signed employment contracts in November 2018, providing that their salaries would delay for two months in the first phase, and will be later resumed in the following months.
They added that their number was about 90 before some of them submitted their resignation and said: "the employer did not abide by the agreement and did not pay the monthly salaries. He paid them 3 months later."
The employees pointed out that the employer justifies the delay in the payment of salaries due to the delay of the government ministry in paying its dues. However, after reviewing the government agency, it confirmed that it paid the last amount due until last March, and the delay in the payment of salaries is not justified even with the delay of dues.
The employees confirmed that "some of them tended to file a labor complaint against the owner of the company in the court."
"Despite the non-payment of salaries, we sometimes have to stay at work after the end of working hours, at 2 p.m., for extra hours," one employee said. "I have a bank loan for my married and unemployed son, I support university students and my husband is retired."
