Interior Minister Says He will not Allow Raising Political Slogans in Ashura

Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said that he will not allow raising political slogans in Ashura season.
The minister's words came during receiving the Chairman of the Jaffaria Endowments Council, Yousif bin Saleh Al Saleh, members of the Husainiya Processions Authority and some heads of Community Centers (Mattams) at the Officers Club on (Tuesday, September 3, 2019).
The minister said "the organizers of the religious rituals should control situations by not allowing the exploitation of Mattams and Hussainiya processions for goals far from the main reason for the occasion, such as holding slogans or images of religious or political personalities or foreign groups. He said that such violation is prohibited and won't be allowed to take place."
He asserted the role of the authorities and heads of Mattams in the protections of the privacy of the places of worship and to perform violation-free rituals.
