Bahrain Mirror: The United States' warnings to its Gulf allies regarding its dealings with Huawei services will not affect the company's commercial relations with Gulf states, especially Bahrain, said Alaa El Shimy, Managing Director of Huawei Enterprise Business Group Middle East.
He added on the sidelines of the Huawei Connect 2019 Summit that Bahrain is one of the first Gulf countries to provide 5G networks in cooperation with Huawei, pointing out that the Gulf countries and the Middle East in general are important markets for Huawei, and Huawei investments outside China accounted for 60%.
Washington has warned countries against using Chinese technology, saying Beijing could use Huawei to spy on the West.
