Bahrain Mirror: Ministry of works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning opened on Monday (November 4, 2019) street No. 38 which links Aa'li and Jari Al-Shaikh areas, noting that the street has been closed since onset of 2011 for political reasons.
Director of Roads Planning and Design Department at the Ministry of Works, Engineer Kazem Abdul Latif, member of the Northern Municipal Council, Hussein Al-Aali, and other officials were present at the opening.
Since March 2011, with Saudi and Emirati forces coming to crush pro-democracy protests led by the country's Shiite majority, security apparatuses closed a number of streets leading to Shiite areas as well as most of the streets linking Shiite and Sunni areas, aiming at imposing restrictions on the Shiite majority that participated in the protests.
