Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society issued a statement in which it commented on the Manama Dialogue conference, organized by the International Peace Institute in Bahrain, which will kick off on Friday, November 22, and will include a number of officials in charge of security, defense and foreign affairs.
The Manama Dialogue Conference is hosted and sponsored by the Bahraini regime as part of a cheap media propaganda in order that the regime can market itself as a stable government concerned with dialogue and regional and global security. However, the proverb "no one gives what they don't have" applies to this regime.
The society stressed that the Bahraini regime rejects dialogue with its people, adding that the regime's policy and practices completely lack dialogue, communication and understanding, and it knows nothing but tyranny, oppression and terrorism against its people.
Al-Wefaq stressed that those who are meeting to talk about regional and international security should know that the hosting country does not provide security for its people and that the majority of the people of Bahrain lack security at all levels, adding that the crushed majority lives under the weight of terror, extortion and constant threat.
Al-Wefaq reiterated its call to the attendees to put pressure on the Bahraini government to stop the crackdowns and arbitrary arrests of opinion-holders and advocates of democracy, respect human rights, and respond to the demands of Bahrainis in building a just and democratic political system and a state of institutions and law.
