Bahrain Mirror: MP Ammar Qambar said that more than 20 MPs signed a request to question Health Minister Faeqa Al-Saleh.
The questioning includes several chapters, most notably medical errors, patients with Sickle Cell Anemia, failure in the emergency department, shortage of medicines, decrease in the quality of health services and inadequate transmission prevention procedures at Al-Salmaniya Medical Complex.
The application is to be submitted on Tuesday morning (November 26, 2019). MPs Ammar Qambar, Mohammad Al-Abbasi, Hamad Al-Kouheji, Ali Ishaqi, and Mamdouh Al-Saleh were among the ones who have signed the request so far.
The MPs indicated that their interrogation request came because the ministry of health did not commit to referring some cases of suspected serious medical error to the National Health Regulatory Authority, adding that the ministry did not take any measure regarding treating females with Sickle Cell Anemia at the Genetic Blood Diseases Center.
