Electricity Minister: Value of Adjustments Made to Summer Bills Reached BD 2 Million

Bahrain Mirror: Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs Wael Al-Mubarak said that 59,664 Bahraini participants benefited from the decision to review this year's bills for citizens in the primary resident for June, July and August. Their consumption this year was more than last year, and the value of adjustments made to their bills reahed approximately BD 2 million. The adjustments included all participants who filed a complaint and those who did not.
He also pointed out that the bills of 75,997 Bahraini subscribers did not increase this year compared to last year, so their lower bills were adopted.
He stressed that the electronic meters are very accurate and do not suffer from any problem. The minister added in response to a question from the Shura Council that the abnormal rise in some bills was due to the intervention of other factors which the Authority addressed to ensure the validity and credibility of the invoices issued by the system.
