Consultations with Private Sector to Specify Awards of National Team Players after Winning Gulf Cup 24: Minister

Bahrain Mirror: Youth and Sport Affairs Minister Ayman Al-Moayyed said that consultations are ongoing with businessmen and major companies to determine the rewards of the national team players, after they won Gulf Cup 24, held in Doha, Qatar.
The minister's remarks came in response to a question from the local Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper about allocating 50,000 dinars to each player on their victory.
The minister said that the players "deserve more than 50,000 dinars," indicating that "consultations are ongoing with businessmen and major companies to support the players in terms of bonuses and awards," adding that "they will be announced soon."
Bahrain won Gulf Cup 24 for the first time in its history since it was launched 50 years ago.
The Cup was first held in 1970 in Manama which proposed the idea.
