Bahrain Mirror: A flight scheduled to leave the holy city of Mashhad to Bahrain International Airport on Monday evening, March 23, 2020, was cancelled. The flight was supposed to transfer people stranded in Iran since over a month.
The Ministry of Health blamed the contracting company for logistical reasons that were not mentioned. Meanwhile, activists confirmed the return of dozens of citizens from the airport - despite the completion of their travel measures - to a hotel.
The health ministry has not announced a new date for the flight, which, if it happens, would be the second of its kind to evacuate those stranded in Iran.
Hundreds of citizens in Iran have been stranded since over a month with the coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, the authorities have been stalling to evacuate them and only evacuated one batch on Oman Salam Air three weeks ago.
