Bahrain Mirror: Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain launched a solidarity campaign with Bahraini prisoners, held in 22 different countries, in a number of different languages, to pressure the authorities for their release.
The human rights campaign was launched under hashtag #Release_Political_Prisoners _Bahrain. "This campaign comes as concerns grow about the outbreak of the Coronavirus epidemic in prisons in Bahrain and after the international and human rights demands for the release of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience in Bahrain who were not included in the amnesty," the organizers said.
Human rights activists demanded, in their native languages and in English, the release of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience in Bahrain "who have not been released, especially those suffering from chronic diseases," particularly with what they described as "deteriorating health conditions in Bahraini prisons."
Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain posted videos showing a number of human rights activists raising #Release_Political_Prisoners _Bahrain banner and demanding the release of prisoners. A number of activists from several European countries took part in the campaign, including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Luxembourg, Denmark, Azerbaijan, Sweden and Norway.
