Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society issued a comment on a number of topics in which it affirmed that it rejects the visit of Zionist prime minister to Bahrain and its commendation of the sectarian rulings issued by the regime's courts against citizens of a certain sectarian component for reasons related to freedom of religion and belief.
Al-Wefaq said in an official statement on Saturday (November 28, 2020) that it discussed a number of new files and topics related to local and foreign arenas and took the following stances:
"Al-Wefaq affirms that the people of Bahrain categorically reject the visit of the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity to Bahrain, considering it an assault on national sovereignty and a dangerous deviation from the overall national consensus on rejecting the Zionists. Al-Wefaq said that Netanyahu should not desecrate our land, adding that neither he nor all Zionist usurpers are welcome or have a place in Bahrain."
It added "Al-Wefaq followed, with concern, the decisions that the regime imposed on Gulf Air to operate flights to the Zionist entity. The society said that this behavior reflects disqualification and the work to implicate national institutions in the swamp of normalization, which will affect the whole economic situation negatively and cause decline. Al-Wefaq added that the pink images are false, based on different experiences."
The society noted the recent escalation of hate speech and the extent of sectarian incursion and the moral breakdown in the pro-regime press and social media accounts, while death threats increased. The society added that the Bahrainis are still living with the repercussions of such threats since 2011, which have resulted in dozens of victims and dozens of anti-human practices.
Al-Wefaq expressed its strong condemnation of the sectarian rulings issued by the regime's courts against citizens of a certain sectarian component for reasons related to freedom of religion and belief. The society considered that this constituted a blatant condemnation of the judiciary that did not adhere to the most basic standards of justice, which did not take into account sectarian pluralism.
It found that the acceleration of the rate of raising public debt, reaching 15 billion dinars, without a sound vision about the borrowing policy, contributes to flooding the country with debt and not addressing the basic causes of borrowing, most notably corruption and poor performance and competence.
The society followed up the Bahraini donation related to the treatment of the young Bahraini, Hassan, and expressed its pride in the high patriotic spirit and the distinguished solidarity.
Al-Wefaq condemned the assassination of the Iranian scientist, Dr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, and said that it is an aggressive behavior that targets the energies and scientific competencies and contributes to destabilizing the situation in the region, at a time when it is in dire need of stability.
