Interior Minister Meets FBI Official, Discusses Promoting Security Cooperation

Bahrain Mirror: Interior Minister, Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received the Legal Attaché of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Richard Ryan. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation.
The Interior Minister welcomed the US official, and highlighted the importance of the visit in reinforcing interaction between the two friendly countries. He hailed the strong ties and strategic partnership between the two countries to promote regional security and stability, according to Bahrain News Agency.
The meeting reviewed security cooperation and coordination through exchanging expertise, in addition to topics of common interest.
In recent years, Bahrain has intensified its cooperation with the United States, particularly in the areas of security and defense, at a time Bahrain has been witnessing continuous pro-democracy protests since February 14, 2011.
